Can Reticenda send my documents anywhere?
No. On Android the app does not hold the internet permission, so the operating system refuses it a network connection. Content leaves the app only when you export, back up or share it yourself.
Can you read my documents, or recover them for me?
No. We never receive them, and we have no technical means to open your vault. That is also why nobody can recover it if you forget your PIN.
Does the app use analytics, ads or an account?
No. There is no account, no analytics service and no advertising in the app.
Is my vault included in my Google backup?
No. Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are switched off for Reticenda. Use the app's encrypted backup to keep a copy or move to a new phone.
How do I check the app has no internet permission?
In the app, open Settings, then "What this app can do". You can also check your phone's app settings or the Play Store listing. The security page explains each way.
Using it
Does the AI write answers?
No. Reticenda finds passages in your documents and shows them with the page they came from. It does not generate text, and when the answer is not in your documents it tells you.
Does the AI run in the cloud?
No. The model runs on your phone. Google Play delivers it once, the way an app update arrives, and nothing about your documents is part of that download.
What can I put into it?
PDFs and images (JPEG, PNG and HEIC), files shared in from other apps, and paper scanned with the built-in scanner. Text in scans is recognised on the device.
Which languages does it support?
English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian, for the interface and for your documents.
What happens if I forget my PIN?
The vault cannot be opened again, by you or by anyone. This is the cost of a design that keeps it private, so keep an encrypted backup and your original documents.
Is a Seal legal proof?
No. A Seal is a technical record of how documents were processed on your phone. Whether it has any value in a proceeding is for the court or authority to decide.

What is free?
One case with everything inside it, Seals and encrypted backups. There is no time limit.
What does the subscription add?
Unlimited cases, and exporting documents, chronologies and summaries as redacted documents.
What happens when my subscription ends?
Nothing in your vault is hidden, locked or deleted. The free plan's limits apply only to creating and exporting.
How do I cancel?
In Google Play: Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Which phones does it run on?
Android 15 or later on 64-bit ARM devices, which covers most recent phones and tablets.
How do I get help?
Write to us through the contact page. Please describe the problem rather than sending a document: we cannot open your vault, so a document would not help us help you.
